Default Nba 2015-16

Yes, this NBA season is actually almost two months old I know. But at least there should be some general discussion about it started before Christmas Day and Boxing Day (or St. Stephen's Day on the same day as Boxing Day if you're Irish) on these boards with 5 of those Christmas Day games forthcoming. Golden St. obviously is THE talk of the NBA and rightly so and already motivated to show last season was no fluke. The Warriors are even that much better and could threaten the Bulls 72-10 championship record 1995-96. So much fun to watch as the big attraction, even with Luke Walton taking over as active head coach on Kerr's behalf. May get their second loss on Christmas Day at Cleveland, which is highly anticipated. Hoped the Warriors would go 28-0 but Milwaukee had other ideas.

On the wrong side of the spectrum, I sure hope Philadelphia avoid matching or finishing worse than 9-73 back in the 1972-73 season. Every time they lose, I just shake my head in sadness. And they display a concrete reason why we won't see any NBA expansion anytime soon. Jerry Colangelo and Mike D'Antoni, both formerly from Phoenix, are now there to lend some sorely-needed cred to this woebegone franchise

My predictions coming into the season:

[b]WESTERN CONFERENCE[/d]

NORTHWEST DIVISION
1. Oklahoma City*
2. Utah
3. Minnesota
4. Portland
5. Denver

PACIFIC DIVISION
1. Golden St.*
2. LA Clippers*
3. Phoenix*
4. Sacramento
5. Now Deservedly Crumbling Evil Laker Empire

SOUTHWEST DIVISION
1. San Antonio*
2. Memphis*
3. Houston*
4. New Orleans*
5. Dallas

EASTERN CONFERENCE

ATLANTIC DIVISION
1. Toronto*
2. Boston*
3. New York
4. Brooklyn
5. Philadelphia

CENTRAL DIVISION
1. Cleveland*
2. Indiana*
3. Milwaukee*
4. Chicago
5. Detroit

SOUTHEAST DIVISION
1. Atlanta*
2. Charlotte*
3. Miami*
4. Washington
5. Orlando

*playoff berth

When Golden St. loses a key player to injury, they lose. It happened on New Year's Eve eve to Dallas and just last night in Denver to only have 3 losses to their name. Now exactly on pace for the Bulls' 72-10 record.

Second coaching casualty came when Lionel Hollins couldn't make it work with the awful Brooklyn Nets.

GSW and San Antonio both just keep winning at home and staying unbeaten there this season last night.

David Blatt fired?! He was losing support of the Cavs locker room:

Just so happens the Cavs will participate in ABC's premiere showing of Saturday Night NBA basketball with the Bulls here in the USA. This is what ABC hopes to emulate CBC/Rogers Sportsnet's Hockey Night in Canada, ABC/ESPN's Monday Night Football, NBC's Sunday Night Football, Nine's Friday Night (NRL) Football, FOX Sports' Monday Night (NRL) Football.

Some insights on ABC's new primetime Saturday Night NBA programming 8-game package that started last week. Also brings up the history of regular season/non-All-Star Game free-to-air NBA primetime TV with plenty of Christmas Day games in its sporadic history. Ratings were excellent in its first game:

Tomorrow ESPN will debut Virtual 3 at the 3-point line on its NBA game on ABC Saturday when Cleveland Cavaliers host the San Antonio Spurs :

Why would the NBA even look into expanding onward to Europe when there's the EuroLeague and the planned FIBA Champions League to further professionalize the game in Europe?

You lost to the Now Deservedly Crumbling Evil Laker Empire for your sixth loss, Golden St.???!!! How in the hell could you?! You're far better than they are and always will be! Steve Kerr never should've said to be "happy" for the NDCELE because this is really their best season ever--and his team should've compounded that further yesterday at the House of Evil and their worshippers. Completely inexcusable!

Can you believe the now-shell shocked Golden St. Warriors are seriously on the verge of getting eliminated early despite having the best regular season record in NBA history at 73-9? OKC plays very competitive against the Warriors season long and matchup very well. Someone like Steven Adams and Enes Kanter are mobile big guys blessed with length that can hurt Golden St.

Golden St. also lost two in a row, a first this season for them.

Golden St. and Cleveland meet again starting tonight in Oakland in a rematch many long waited. This series should be very fun, and I think this will go the distance. Hopefully an instant classic. Golden St. Warriors in 7; they are much better than Cleveland and even improved from last season even though the Cavs improved themselves from last season. Can't wait!

ABC/ESPN's coverage of this year's NBA Finals will use Sony HDC-4800 slo-mo cameras and Intel's 3D 360 replay:

The 2016 NBA Finals clearly is a roller coaster. Can Cleveland tie things up tonight? Will Kevin Love get clearance from his concussion protocol in time for Game 4? What's disappointing so far is, blowouts notwithstanding, this is the most shutdown Stephen Curry and a little bit of Klay Thompson have been so far. And I know they're angry coming in tonight and want to light it up.
