Will be telecast at 6am Saturday morning in Perth, 8am in the east.

Sorry for the mixup. Boomers got Serbia now, and I do think they're tough. Better get their physicality and defense tightened up more for this one as Wild 1 points out Teodosic and Raduljica could pose problems this time. I too would've preferred Croatia instead. But those former Yugoslavian nations play their basketball tough whenever they face each other internationally.

Yeah, a disgraceful effort from the Boomers.

Must confess to Schadenfreude anytime Flopper Mills loses. Can't get behind any team with him on it.

Now I'm worried. Afraid that it's going to be another Olympics off the podium and the first time time since Seoul 1988 that neither the Opals or Boomers will be on the medal podium in Olympic basketball at the same time unless the Boomers win (Opals didn't qualify to a small women's field four years later in Barcelona).

PS: Had a feeling the Boomers' lack of offensive firepower on their present roster will come back to haunt them against Serbia and its rich basketball pedigree. And would only be magnified even more so against a very experienced Spain squad with player in their multiple Olympics. If only Dante and Ben are around...

Man that last play - Andersen had Patty curling to the basket. If he just was able to make that pass - greatest moment in basketball history for Australia. Instead, a turnover. So close...

Or make the shot himself... He would surely have been a legit 2nd option, considering all the other gun-shy players out there...

Really disappointing end to what was amazing pool play...

Can we assume that it's probably going to be the last time we see Bogut and Andersen at an Olympics or WC?

Leaves a considerable whole in the middle... Some great talent coming through, but who to replace them?

I think Bogut will go around one more time, injury permitting. Read an article on Fox Sports which was pretty good about the future Boomers prospects - http://www.foxsports.com.au/olympics...3d1700158f8737

Andersen will struggle to get to another one I think at his age. Be happy to see the end of Ingles. In hindsight I pick Newley over him even with Ingles height advantage.

Baynes hopefully will also be replaced or play a limited role. Wasn't really using his size to his best advantage, and settling for that lefty hook shot a lot.

*sadly groans* Even Lemanis, the new head coach of the resurrected Brisbane Bullets, was in tears:

Does anyone knows that the Australia Adidas Rio 2016 Olympic basketball replica jerseys ever got on sale in Australia for the general public in stores? They're awesome! Because I certainly am interested in getting one like the British counterparts, also from Adidas, four years ago.
