Team registration for senior domestic at Kilsyth is $145 per team and I know Nunawading was much higher than this. Considering Kilsyth utilises the courts at Lilydale for domestic competition (a total of 8 courts in total) I think the figures of $90 at Nunawading (and 4 or 5 courts?) are way off the mark.

Team sheet $24 per team for ref hire and court hire? Sounds extremely low rate to pay 2 refs, hire a court and then make a decent profit.
MW my costs are junior cost as per the reference to U10's, U16's etc. The Team sheet is $24 per team so that would be $48 ($24x2 Teams) per game for court hire and refs.

I'm not sure about senior domestic costs.

There is a legal requirement to pay someone in Australia if they play as an import.
Clearly you don't know that. Yet those around the SEABL and are involved, (clearly unlike you) know those common facts re the minimum salary an import is expected to receive.

I have never said that the Spectres are the most expensive team going around. Yet again you are wrong. Try reading clearly what I said.

Answer the questions that you keep avoiding.

Tell us all what YOU think the current Spectres lineup would get paid.
or answer the other question I posed.
How much does the MEBA contribute to the Senior Men's team.
Either way you will get your answer.

Oh by the way do you know who long it takes for a player to be deemed as a local Spectre?
Obviously not.
If you did, you would never have suggested that Leonard would be included as a local either. Wrong yet again.
So I should ask Cat Country what an import gets and his answer will be relevant for every import that comes to play basketball? Right.......

I don't remember saying imports don't get paid.

"Some would say that the side they have now is one of the most expensive going around in the SEABL" - nah you didn't say anything about how expensive Spectres SEABL teams was!!!

"Macca and Todorov have been there long enough to qualify as locals now however" - nah you didn't say anything about some players being around long enough to qualify as locals!!!

"Simpson is a non Specs person and his lack of Spectres history is clearly lacking. The current Spectres lineup, is nothing that anyone now repsects." - nah you didn't slag off the coach!!!!

None of the people who have responded to your inane comments have claimed to know the exact figures, only you have. You are the one that needs to put up or shut up!

If you are so much in the know - tell us how much do they get from their Association and how much do they pay their players? Also tell us how you know and also give us a comparison to other clubs so that we can substantiate your credibility.

Not getting into the fee's issue.

but I would say if a player has played three years of rep juniors with a club they could be considered a local. So that just about covers off most team s as having 5 or less locals in the ten man teams

Knox with what looks like a huge comeback tonight in Bendigo! They looked gone on the stats halfway through the third! Did the Braves choke a bit?? 8 points in the last quarter?? Big game from Strong! That would've been a nice battle watch - Strong vs McFarlin...

Hey, leave me out of it. I've been out of the game for 4 years now so not quite up with the current arrangements.
Suffice to say that DFAT require players here on a sporting visa to receive a minimum living wage. This can be offset with vehicles, accommodation and so forth but there's also a minimum cash component. Curious is not too far wide of the mark for the annual wage but remember most of these guys are here for around 7 months so, drill the annual wage down by 12 months then multiply it out by 7 and your getting a little closer.
Of course there are imports who's skills demand more $ but most of them wont be much above that minimum.

Interesting article here on the subject of Greer's and Corletto's unavailability.
http://www.theage.com.au/sport/baske...724-10pt9.html
It makes no mention of Bathie or Lang who play for the Cobras.

It also makes mention at the end of the article this.
"A potential compromise, with the pair returned early for the second week of finals, has been withdrawn."

Who say's Bathie & Lang will be suiting up for the Tigers this season? Bathie will be elsewhere and Lang hasn't had an offer I'm told.

Very close game, within one point most of the time, two and a half minutes to go and JB got a tech foul for swearing. Guy Molloy lost it and walked onto the court abusing the ref, had to be held back by two ballarat players, ended up storming off the court and looked to me like he was trying to get the players to walk off with him and forfeit the game. Threw a sign onto the court as he stormed into the chage rooms.

Miners beat Chargers. South finals will be Nuna Vs Supercats and Sandy Vs Hobart. Now it's just a question of where will they be at ?

Did Ballarat really win in Hobart without Drake Reed??? My god, tough for Hobart to come to the mainland next week and win if that's the case?? Who has the head to head between Kilsyth and Bendigo??

bandits come from 20 down and beat knox by 6...massive clutch game from gabbidon, the usual contribution from bright and payne very quiet, but hittin a clutch 3 with a min to go!

good to see all the hard work at albury pay off this season and better the last 2 years records!!!

hopefully the development process can go up another gear next year!
